"Mack"'s Story

Mack was found at an Interstate 10 rest stop in the Texas Hill Country. He had been there for weeks, and we were called to help. He was in good condition, but scrounging for food from travelers. He lived in the tree line at night and then came down to the exit and sat there all day. No one could get near Mack, but we were able to trap him and successfully bring him into our Safe House campus. We have worked with him and he is a love bug, enjoys company, and is good with older kids - he is an energetic dog! He loves to run, but he also likes his home and feels like it needs protecting, so he watches intently the coming and going of people here. German Shepherd: protective - Husky: adventurer! He is about 3 years of age, neutered, HW negative and fully vaccinated and on preventative. He is a stunning dog in person! His Embarq DNA is pending.<br/>He does have a vigorous prey drive, so no cats or livestock please. He prefers female dogs over males, so only altered dogs in the home will be considered.
