Macarena

Macarena is a very special girl, around 7 to 8 years old, with the softest heart and the sweetest, most soulful presence. Her journey began in the mountains of Puerto Rico, where she was rescued and given the second chance she so deeply deserved. She has been waiting patiently for a forever family to see just how wonderful she is.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Macarena has a gentle, loving nature and does beautifully with humans of all ages. She even spent time around an infant and was calm, patient, and incredibly tender. She is dog approved and can do well with another respectful pup after a slow and thoughtful introduction, but she would also be perfectly content soaking up all the love as the center of attention in her home.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>This lovely girl does have severe dermatitis that requires ongoing management. Allergy shots have been helping keep her comfortable, and she wears soft shirts to help protect her sensitive skin. With consistent care, medicated baths, and her simple routine, she continues to feel and do well. She handles it all with such quiet resilience and never lets it dim her gentle spirit.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Macarena was also recently diagnosed with early stage mammary cancer. She has already had the masses removed, and her condition is currently being closely monitored. Through it all, she remains full of love, hope, and sweetness. She truly deserves a cozy, devoted home where she can continue to thrive and be cherished every single day, whatever the future may hold.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Despite everything she has been through, Macarena still lights up for adventures.
