Mac's Story

Meet Mac!

What is he do you ask!? We don't know! Perhaps if you mixed a corgi with a lab, you would get a Mac... A short legged sweet looking fella.

Mac is a happy, friendly and affectionate boy. He loves everyone he meets and seems to especially enjoy being around kids. His favorite thing is attention and he will cuddle into you for scritches and tummy rubs.

He does really well with other dogs although he has some mild reactivity on leash (we can help with this!) This seems to be more over-excitement than aggression as he does well meeting other dogs and just wants to play. He plays really well with the smaller dogs he lives with and is gentle with them. He loves treats and is a smart boy who wants to please so should be easy to train.

As he's just a young pup he can get into a bit of mischief when he gets bored, so ideally he would have another dog around to play with along with walks. He is mostly house trained but can sometimes get confused in unfamiliar environments. He has learned sit and to take treats gently and wait for his food when eating around the other dogs. He's pretty good at coming when called and he's working on stay back (from the front door) and wait. He can get over excited and a bit bouncy sometimes but mostly he's a happy boy and easy to have around.

Mac is a winner! He is chipped, vaccinated and neutered. His adoption fee is $525

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
