Mabel - super friendly!'s Story

Hello! My name is Mabel, and my foster mom says that I have a heart of gold! I was surrendered to a local pound because my previous home said they, "didn't have time for me anymore". I hurt my knee in 2022, but it got better until I recently hurt it again in Oct 2025. They say I have a torn cruciate/ACL... whatever that means. I might have surgery to fix my knee, but we are waiting now to see about my right hip! The xray was abnormal so more xrays will be taken soon. Check out my cool video from a number of years ago when I was younger and more agile!

Mabel is a wonderful girl, and she wants all the attention and doesn't appreciate when other dogs get in her face so she needs to be the only dog in the home. Mabel will never be a "dog park dog", but she fills a home with lots of unconditional love! Being a senior gal, she has some urinary incontinence which is controlled with a medication called Proin and it works great. Mabel also has a bad knee and no longer goes up or down stairs, and she has signs of early canine cognitive dysfunction.

Please e-mail or call us at 715-468-7784 to find out more about this very special dog and if you would like to sponsor her.
