Meet Mabel! Mabel first came to CCHS with her 5 siblings towards the beginning of October last year from a local farm. She ended up being adopted out to a family with small children and unfortunately developed some anxiety around those small children and because of that, ended up back with us. This sweet Heeler mix is now 7 months old and weighs roughly 35.8lbs currently. Mabel is a bit of a bashful gal! She loves people and loves to love on them, but it can often take her a minute or two to get comfortable with new faces. Mabel would benefit from a home that can give her the patience and grace she needs to get adjusted, because once she is, her sparkling personality will blossom larger than life! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. <br/><br/>CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP.
