Meet Lynda

Hi friends and fans! My name is Lynda, and if you are looking for a large, laid-back lady friend to spend your days with, I am the beauty for you! I am estimated to be an 8-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix, and when I say I am a big beauty, I mean it since I tip the scales at a hearty 115 pounds! I have luxurious black fur with a darling white spot on my chest near my heart, which is appropriate since I have so much love to give the lucky people who choose to make me a part of their family!

My friends from Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control, where my previous owner left me when they no longer wanted me. If I am being honest, I am pretty happy they did so I can have a new start and a real happily ever after! I don't have a problem doing my own thing and relaxing in my favorite bed, but I also LOVE soaking up all the attention I can and blissfully follow my people around the house like a big shadow when they are home. I am a calm, lazy girl and nothing makes me happier than leaning into my favorite person to receive pets. I am a ginormous fan of belly rubs, and will gently nudge your hand with my nose or tap you with my paw when I am ready for my next massage. But I have some playful spunk, too, and enjoy a rousing game of fetch or galloping around the yard, as well. I love wintertime and have so much fun exploring in the snow (and snacking on the white fluffy stuff, too!) I would do best as your one and only fur friend so I can get all your attention all for myself. When I dream of my forever home, I envision a calm home where I can enjoy your company, play some fetch when the mood strikes us, and chill on a comfy, cozy dog bed near you receiving all the belly rubs my heart desires!

I am a well-mannered lady, as well. I am potty trained, and easily settle down and relax in my dog bed while my humans are away from home. I do not like being crated, but know not to make a mess in the house or chew on things I shouldn't, though sometimes I like to gently carry a shoe around when I am feeling silly! When you get home, I will put a big smile on your face as I greet you with a tail wag, high five, and my favorite stuffed chicken toy (or shoe) in my mouth! And if you want a wing-woman on car rides, I am a great co-pilot, too! I love going for rides and looking out the window at the world speeding by. I would prefer a single-family home with a tall privacy fence to enjoy sunbathing and romping around the yard. I am a scholar and know a bunch of commands including sit, stay, leave it, lay down, and give paw; I will even give paw without prompting just because I love to reach out and touch you! Ask any of my many Fetching friends and they will tell you how I can make your heart swell with adoration when I reach out to shake paws with you!

If you think I could be the extra large lovebug that will fill your home with affection, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon and tell them Lynda is the lady for you! I am an easy-going girlfriend and am ready to start my next adventure with you by my side!

Love,
Lynda
