LYLA's Story

Lyla – ID #17581 – Kennel #805
Arrived 03/15 as a stray – Labrador Retriever Mix – Grey & White – Female – 2 years old – 50 lbs – Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm positive, but has completed treatment at the shelter.

Meet Lyla — a beautiful grey and white Labrador Retriever mix who found her way to the shelter as a stray on March 15th, with no one coming forward to claim her. This stunning 2-year-old girl, just 50 pounds of grace and charm, now waits in Kennel #805 for someone to recognize what an extraordinary gift she truly is.

Lyla already knows how to sit and walks gently on leash — signs that somewhere in her past, someone cared enough to work with her. Yet here she is, waiting. She deserves a family who will never leave her wondering where she belongs again, a home where she can finally put down roots and know she is loved for good.

Lyla tested positive for heartworms, but has completed treatment at the shelter and is ready for a forever home. Heartworm-positive dogs who complete treatment usually go on to live full, happy and healthy lives.

Lyla has so much love to give and a whole life ahead of her just waiting to be lived. If you have room in your heart and your home for this gorgeous girl, come meet her in Kennel #805 today — because every dog deserves a happily ever after, and Lyla is long overdue for hers.

Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
