Lydia's Story

Lydia is a sweet Beagle with a gentle heart and so much love to give. She was rescued from a local shelter, where she was understandably scared and unsure. In her foster home, Lydia was given time, patience, and kindness—and after a couple of weeks, her shy shell began to fade. Now her foster is seeing the precious pup she truly is - affectionate, attention-seeking, and eager to be loved. Lydia is friendly with people and other dogs and is happiest in a semi-quiet home where she is not left alone for long. She is thriving in that calm, comforting environment and would love a family who will continue helping her feel safe and cherished. Lydia will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard and another dog to give her confidence. As of July 2026, Lydia is 5 years old, weighs 20 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Beagles rock—and Lydia is ready to prove it!
