Lydia's Story
(The fine print): If after reading Lydia's adoption listing in full, you’d like to make this wonderful pup a part of your family, please visit www.sanctuaryrescue.com and fill out an adoption questionnaire under the “forms” tab. Unfortunately, we don't receive any inquiries sent through the Petfinder system, so the only way to be considered for adoption is to fill out the adoption questionnaire on our website. If a dog’s listing is still up on Petfinder, then we’re still accepting adoption questionnaires/applications for them. Once a dog has been adopted, we will immediately remove their adoption listing. Keep reading to learn more about Lydia…

(The good part): At just 20 pounds of pure beagle bliss, 4-year-old Lydia is the mellow, belly-rub-loving companion you didn’t know you needed. Her dream day? Lounging beside you with her head on your lap, giving you that “aren’t we lucky?” look while you binge your favorite show or read a book. Lydia's a go-with-the-flow kind of gal — whether your home has kids, no kids, another pup, or just you, she’s game. That said, she'd definitely enjoy a dog buddy to romp with now and then.

Lydia’s a top-tier leash walker — polite and occasionally convinced she’s walking you. Daily strolls or a secure backyard to sniff around are all she asks in return for her unwavering loyalty. She’s a dream in the car. Toss her in the back seat, and she’ll happily curl up and enjoy the ride. Lydia is potty-trained and has clearly mastered the art of being the perfect houseguest.

Lydia's adoption fee is $350, which includes up to date vaccinations, spay, and microchip.
