Lupin's Story

Adorable Lupin is a 6-month-old fellow from Amarillo, Texas. He had a bit of a rough start after being dumped in a field, but thankfully, he is in a safe place now, and is thriving. He has expressive eyes, the softest coat you’ve ever felt, and a goofy, uncoordinated, puppy body that is sure to make you laugh.

While he may take a minute to warm up to new people and situations, Lupin is extremely kind and curious. Once he feels comfortable, he loves everyone he meets, human and canine alike. He especially loves kids, and just wants to play with them and get pets. Lupin loves to play with squeak toys, “dance” for his tennis ball, romp around in the yard, chew on bones, and wrestle with his foster sister. He is very food motivated, and has been learning commands like “sit” and “come.” He is crate trained, house trained, knows how to use the dog door at his foster home, and is getting pretty good at walking on a leash. He has abundant puppy energy, and is always game to go for a fun adventure, or take a long walk. When the adventure is over, you can find him curled up on the couch with his head on a throw pillow, like a person. 🙂

Lupin would love a home with a canine playmate, or some humans to help him continue to build his confidence and enjoy all life has to offer. This little guy has so much love to give, and we can’t wait for him to find his person.

Lupin is being fostered in Denver, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/lupin/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
