She's clever, alert, eager to learn, and loves showing off her ability to follow commands. She enjoys pleasing her people and thrives on attention, praise, and opportunities to use her brain.

Despite her playful and energetic personality, Luneta also has a very sweet and loving side. She enjoys being close to her humans and would happily be the center of their world!

Luneta gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with her canine companions. She's adaptable, curious, and always ready to tag along on her next adventure. Whether it's exploring the outdoors, going for walks, or spending quality time with her family, Luneta is happiest when she's included.

At 4 years old, she still has plenty of youthful enthusiasm but also the maturity to settle into a consistent routine.

Social Skills & Compatibility

Dogs: Yes! She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing.

Kids: Yes! She loves children. Kids ages 6–7 and older would be the best match.

Cats: No. Luneta may have a prey drive and would do best in a cat-free home.

Resource Guarding: None reported.

Barking: Not known to be excessively vocal.

Energy Level: Medium. She benefits from daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation.

Shedding: Minimal shedding reported.

Training & Home Life

Luneta is an intelligent girl who enjoys learning and responds well to direction.

Leash Training: Yes! She's comfortable walking on a leash.

Car Rides: Yes! She travels well in the car.

Potty Training: Luneta will need a consistent routine as she transitions into a new home. With patience, positive reinforcement, and regular potty breaks, she should be able to learn her family's household expectations.

Crate Training: Familiar with a crate for air travel but has not used one regularly at home.

When Home Alone: Luneta is comfortable taking time away from the other dogs when she wants some quiet space.

Sleeping Arrangements: She currently sleeps indoors in her foster home.

Luneta's Ideal Home

Luneta would thrive with an active family or individual who enjoys spending time outdoors and wants a fun, affectionate companion by their side.

She would love a family that includes her in daily activities, provides regular walks and opportunities to explore, and keeps her clever mind engaged with training, games, and enrichment.

A home with children ages 6–7 and older could be a wonderful fit, and she would also enjoy having a friendly canine companion.

A securely fenced yard is strongly preferred, as Luneta may be tempted to chase small animals. Because of her potential prey drive, a home without cats or other small pets would be best.

Most importantly, Luneta deserves a family who will appreciate her intelligence, playful spirit, and affectionate nature while giving her the stability and love she's been waiting for.

Luneta's Rescue Story

Luneta's journey began when she and her young puppy were found tied to a tree in a park near the home of a veterinarian. Thankfully, they were discovered and brought to safety.

Her puppy quickly found a loving forever home, but Luneta's journey took a little longer.

The veterinarian connected Luneta with a compassionate foster caregiver who welcomed her into her home and existing pack of dogs. There, Luneta has spent more than a year surrounded by love, learning to trust, and enjoying life as part of a family.

Her foster caregiver has grown incredibly attached to her and would love to keep her, but personal circumstances make that impossible. She knows Luneta deserves a permanent home where she can receive all the love, attention, and adventures she could ever want.

Luneta has already watched her puppy find a forever family. Now it's her turn.

She's been patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she is. Could that someone be you?

Ready to Adopt Luneta?

Location: Mexico — waiting for trial commitment

Adoption Fee: $650

Apply to adopt: www.northwestwagrescue.org

Luneta has so much love to give and so many adventures ahead of her.
