Luna Marie's Story

Luna Marie is an almost 2-year-old sweetheart who we were told may be a Golden Retriever / Husky mix, though her exact breed makeup is unknown. She came to us through no fault of her own after her family found themselves in the heartbreaking position of living in their car and could no longer care for her.

Luna is a happy, playful dog who’s always ready for some fun. She enjoys going for walks on a leash, willingly goes into her crate, and has been doing great with house manners, with no accidents so far. While she was a little shy during her first few days with us, she has quickly warmed up and shown us her loving, friendly personality.

She previously lived with a family with older children and did very well with them. Luna has also met our cats and was gentle and kind, though our cats are dog-savvy and don’t run—so a cat that bolts may trigger a chase. At this time, she has not been introduced to other dogs, as she arrived unvaccinated and we wanted to keep her safe. She has since been brought up to date on vaccines and will be spayed before adoption. She weighs 36.6 pounds.

Luna Marie is a wonderful dog who has already been through a lot and is ready for a fresh start. She’s looking for a loving home where she can play, explore, and finally settle in as a cherished family member
