Luna's Story

With her shiny coat as dark as night, Luna needs a bright light in her life! Her previous owners were no longer able to care for her, and transitioning to the shelter has been slow and steady with great strides! She has proven to be quiet as a mouse and cautious with her new routine and separates herself in playgroup when unsure of the players. Loyal and loving to those she trusts, Luna will show her belly for rubs when at ease and lets strangers know when she is uncomfortable. We have found she doesn't like her nose to be touched...so stick with the belly rubs! She longs for a patient human to show her the way again. In her previous life she played with frisbees, balloons and rocks--and her plastic chicken!!-- and was a single dog with no other animals in the home, so a slow introduction to other animals is advised. If you can light up Luna's life, we would love for you to show her the way!
