Luna's Story
Luna
Two years old, 9lbs
Rescued in the southwest
Vaccinated and altered

Meet Luna! This sweet, timid, affectionate homebody with a lovely white coat is low-to-moderate energy and deeply people-oriented — she likes to know where you are at all times. She arrived quite scared, but in just three days she's already blossoming, growing more comfortable and warming up a little more each day. She's very friendly with people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs (she and her foster's dog Elvis have become fast friends). She handles alone time and houseguests without any issues at all.

Luna is potty trained, though she takes her time finding just the right spot outside, and her leash skills have improved a lot — she doesn't lunge and follows direction well. She doesn't know sit yet, but she understands "no" and possibly "stay," with more commands likely to come with time and consistency. Her days are refreshingly simple: cozying up with her people, a moderate walk or two, and lots of cuddling, whether that's sharing your bed or contentedly curling up in her own bed right beside you. Luna would do best in a calm-to-moderate, apartment-friendly household - and she'd do especially well with another dog for companionship. Her foster describes her as the sweetest little shadow — a huge cuddler who's come remarkably far in just a few days, transforming from scared to affectionate and easygoing. Her favorite quirk: if Elvis is getting affection, Luna will squeeze right into the middle of it, determined never to be left out of a good cuddle session.
