Luna's Story
Meet Luna

Luna is a 2 year old female Heeler who is the definition of a loyal, devoted companion.

This sweet girl may be a little shy and timid at first, but once she loves you, she LOVES you. Her favorite place is wherever her person is following you from room to room, checking in on you, or curled up beside you on the couch or snuggled on the bed. She is an absolute cuddle bug!

Luna is crate trained and knows her basic commands, including sit, come, fetch, and recall. She especially loves a good game of fetch when she gets some one on one time with her person.

One of the things that makes Luna so special is how quiet and easygoing she is. She rarely barks, other than giving a minimal alert when someone comes to the door. She is also lower energy than your typical Heeler. She is perfectly happy lounging around and snoozing much of the day, but she’s always ready when it’s time to get out and explore.

Luna does well with other dogs, is good with kids and cats, and has a sweet, gentle nature. She hasn’t been around livestock, although her natural Heeler instincts do show up when she’s around smaller dogs.

Like many smart, active dogs, Luna can get herself into a little trouble when she’s left alone and bored—she has been known to chew things she shouldn’t! Her forever family will need to help her stay appropriately entertained and set her up for success.

But Luna’s absolute best quality is her loyalty. Give her your time and your heart, and you’ll have a shadow who thinks her greatest job in life is simply being by your side.

If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion who wants to be your best friend, Luna might just be your girl.

Submit an application at Hdrescueoregon.com. $400 adoption fee.
