LUNA's Story

LUNA: WELL ADJUSTED, WELL MANNERED. DONE

Luna is a 6 year old Golden Labrador who has lived a stable, consistent life with one owner. It shows. She understands boundaries, follows through on commands, and moves through a home without creating work for anyone.

Indoors, she is quiet and settled. No destruction, no barking, no pacing. She is fully house trained, comfortable in a crate, and can be left alone for several hours without issue.

She is genuinely easy with people, affectionate without being needy, friendly with strangers, and reliable with children. She is comfortable being handled and integrates quickly into a household flow.

Outside, she has more presence. She enjoys her walks and has a moderate energy level. The first few minutes can be enthusiastic, then she settles and walks well on leash. She needs regular exercise and would not suit a low-mobility home. Around balls and sticks, she is a non-stop fetcher and zoomies are an important part of her day. With other animals she is neutral, she typically opts out (except for squirrels and rabbits). Fine with dog savvy cats. She is not looking for playmates and does best in homes that do not expect dog park energy or social engagement.

Health is straightforward, no known issues, spayed, vaccinations up to date, recently seen by a vet.

Luna is a dog for someone who values predictability and ease. She does not demand attention, does not create problems, and does not need fixing.

HIGHLIGHTS
• 6 years old, 63.9 lbs Golden Labrador
• House trained and crate trained
• Can be left alone up to 4-5 hours
• Quiet, calm, non-destructive
• Excellent with children, 10+
• Friendly with strangers
• Good with dog savvy cats
• Neutral with dogs, not interested
• Walks well on leash after settling in
• Medium energy, enjoys daily walks, fetching balls, sticks, and zoomies
• Secure fenced yard is a plus
• No medical issues, vaccinations up to date, spayed

If you have the time, the love and the dedication for LUNA please fill out an application at:
https://gerdysrescue.org/adoption-form/
No direct message inquiries, please.
We adopt to Montreal and surrounding areas only.
We will only respond to applicants who match the requirements.

***************************
