Luna's Story

Loverbug Luna, that's me! I'm the sweetest gal who loves to cuddle and and snuggle and and and cuddle some more. Oh, and belly rubs! I want belly rubs all day long. Since I am good at snuggling, I could be the greatest bed warmer you have ever experienced. I get better every day at leash walking. I'm a fast learner and would love to learn a lot of new tricks. I adore toys and even know how to play independently with my favorite stuffies and chew toys. If you have kids at home I'd love to meet them. I would prefer to be your only dog but could potentially cohabitate with a more laidback dog (you can ask the GPSPCA team about dog-to-dog introductions!). I had a sleepover recently, and I got rave reviews regarding my behavior. I was perfect, self entertaining, no accidents at all, I slept through the night all cuddled up and warmed my human's bed. I was not destructive, I was very playful, affectionate and a great mix of rowdy and mellow. I played with my toys for such a long time that my sleepover humans forgot I was there. Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
