Luna's Story
This pretty little lady is Luna, and she’s looking for a soft place to land. Her current owner loves her dearly, but is unable to care for her as she once did, due to the demands of new motherhood as a single mom, and Luna is having a hard time.

Luna was adopted from a rescue in L.A. about 5 years ago, is approximately 7 years old and lives in the Seattle area now. She’s been an adventure buddy and loves to go for hikes. Luna is affectionate and loving with people she knows, but is a shy girl with new people, worried about strangers and especially men – she will bark and become very protective of her space when she is feeling scared. She can get along with other dogs, but demonstrates leash reactivity with people and dogs she doesn’t know. Luna has a high prey drive and would NOT be good with cats in the home – she has caught rabbits and will chase squirrels (and cats). She has shown resource guarding with her toys around the 1 yo baby in the home, and would not be good in a home with small children. Luna is currently taking vet prescribed Prozac to help her with her anxiety and worries.

Luna would do best in a quiet home with a yard where she can run and play, and a human that likes to go hiking would be even better. A dog buddy in the home could be okay as well (they would have to meet first). She can be very bossy with other dogs, but usually enjoys playing with them once introduced.

Apply to adopt lovely Luna: https://forms.spdrdogs.org/Adoption/

Washington State – no interstate transports.
