LUNA's Story

Luna is a gentle, sweet girl with a goofy little spark that makes her impossible not to love. She's fully house trained, crate trained, and has great manners in the home--she really shines in a calm, familiar environment where she feels safe.

She's the kind of dog who takes her time getting to know new people. Loud noises, big groups, and new situations can make her a bit nervous, and she tends to be especially cautious around men at first. But once she warms up (and she will), she becomes affectionate, loyal, and wonderful with both adults and kids. She just needs slow, patient introductions and a space where she feels comfortable.

Luna has done well with other dogs, though she comes from a single-dog home, so continued thoughtful introductions are best. Cats, however, are not really her thing.

She enjoys going for walks and would love a human who can help her practice her leash manners--she does get a little excited and likes to pull. At home, she's more of a laid-back observer than a toy enthusiast. You'll often find her happily chewing on a bone or perched by a window, quietly watching the world go by like it's her favorite show.

If you're looking for a kind-hearted, slightly quirky companion who just needs a little patience to blossom, Luna might be your girl 🐾
Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.

FOSTER APPLICATION:
Want to be a hero for a homeless animal in need?
