Luna's Story
Meet Luna! She was described as being friendly, cuddly, and quiet. She LOVES car rides, playing tug-of-war, and going to the dog park. Luna knows how to sit, leave it, and lay down. She is kennel trained and used to having a wire kennel. Although she barely spent time in her kennel, she likes to have a blanket put over it when she is in there.

In Luna's previous home, she was used to having a dog door so she could go out to go potty whenever she needed. But she will let you know that she needs to go out by scratching the door.

Luna has been around older children and did great with them. It is unknown how she does around cats. She did live with other dogs in her previous home and got along with them. However, she has shown some signs of resource guarding. She does not like to share food or toys with other dogs. It is recommended to feed Luna in a kennel/crate, but at a minimum she should be separate from any resident dogs in the home. Feel free to ask a TCHS staff member for tips to help with this. Slow and proper introductions are recommended when introducing her to other pets and children in the home.

In Luna's previous home, she did display some resource guarding towards people occasionally. She tends to really value bones/rawhides, and her humans should use caution if providing these items due to her guarding tendencies.

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.

**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
