Luna's Story

Luna’s a 1.5yo 9lb Chi/corgi mix. She's dog, cat and kid friendly. She needs warm up time with new people. She’s working on house training and is pee pad and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She does bark at strangers. She’s very shy until she gets to know you, but once she gets to know her people. she doesn't leave your side. She is perfectly content with just sitting in your lap 24/7 & cuddle. She loves playing fetch with her stuffed babies or her ball. She can be a barker but usually only if someone is at the door or if she's people watching out a window, she's quiet otherwise. She is a VERY HIGH Jumper, she jumped out of an open dog pen that is about 2 1/2 feet high.

Luna’s foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, a secure fenced in yard with her people out with her, another small, friendly dog, be allowed on the furniture and sleep in bed with them, along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Luna as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Luna is spayed, vaccinated, hw negative and microchipped. Currently in NE Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
