Are you ready to welcome a gentle giant into your life? Meet Luna, a stunning 2-year-old, 130-pound Cane Corso with a heart as big as her paws. This beautiful blue girl is searching for a forever home with a confident and experienced owner who understands her breed and can offer her the guidance she needs. Luna may have had a rough start, but her loving nature shines through. While she can be a bit timid at times, she blossoms into a playful and affectionate companion once she feels safe and loved. Luna is a people-lover at heart and adores older children, potentially making her a great family dog for the right household. As a solo star, Luna prefers to be the only pet, allowing her to soak up all the love and attention. She should not be in a household with cats or other small animals, however, she could potentially do well in a home with a laid-back and submissive male dog of a similar size who matches her gentle demeanor and respects her space. She's house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit, down, and stay—though sometimes it is on her terms! Luna is working on her leash manners, and with a little patience and practice, she'll be a pro in no time. This playful pup loves a good game of fetch or tug and will keep you entertained with her silly antics. Many of the gentle giants that come into our rescue have been neglected or abused. Others have simply been abandoned by their owners due to a divorce, a new baby, moving, or natural disaster. We are often told that they got “too big” or “too expensive” and many of the dogs below come to us with very little training. Despite their past, rescue dogs are incredibly forgiving and very eager to please. They have so much to give and are all very special.
