Luna's Story

Hi everyone, my name is Luna and I am a little girl weighing in at only 7.5 lbs and 10+ years old – a girl
never tells her true age!
I am blind and my foster mom thinks I cannot hear very well but once I am comfortable and know my
way around I can find the dog beds, blankets, and your lap for some snuggles. I love meal time and
especially love all kinds of treats – especially cheese and rotisserie chicken – but who doesn’t love them!
I love to be petted and will seek them out and am good with the other dogs in my home. However,
because I cannot see them when I am walking around I sometimes get startled but settle right back
down.
I have been known to bark if I cannot find my foster mom for some snuggles and will bark if I am outside
and ready to come back in. I do need to be carried up and down any stairs and picked up to sleep in bed
with you at night. I sleep all night long and like to be snuggled right up against my people.
I do not like to be crated and do not really have any accidents in the house if I am taken out on a regular
basis. It would be great to have a person home with me all day or who is gone for only a few hours a day
so we can spend more time together.

Potential adopters should know that while Luna was being spayed, we had some mammary masses removed. They were sent out for biopsy, and at least 1 was determined to be cancerous. It was removed with good margins, but there is always a chance that it could come back sometime in the next 24 months. She is looking for the perfect home to spoil and love her for whatever time she has remaining.

If this is you, please fill out an application to adopt me at NBSAR.Org. My Senior adoption fee is $150.
