LUNA's Story

Meet Luna – A Loyal Lady Looking for Her Person

Luna is a stunning, 6-year-old Great Pyrenees who has all the qualities we love in this breed: loyalty, affection, intelligence, and the belief that her human is her life’s mission. She’s a companion dog, not a livestock guardian, and she takes “guardian of my human’s soul” very seriously.

Recently, Luna was adopted and returned a few days later—not because she’s a “bad dog,” but because the environment was just not right for her. Too much traffic, too many dogs zooming past, and not enough leadership sent her into protector mode. We also learned that when she senses uncertainty or mixed signals from a human, she may decide, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this!” (…and she definitely will take charge if someone doesn’t.)

? Personality & Quirks

? Deeply loyal and loving to her chosen person

? Strong-minded, alpha personality that needs confident leadership

? Does not want to share her home with other dogs

? Good with cats!

? Good with respectful, dog-savvy children

? Not suited for suburban distractions and traffic excitement

? Not a livestock guardian

We suspect that because her previous owner died in the home, Luna may be especially protective of women and forms intense bonds—especially when she feels that someone needs her.

? The Right Home for Luna

Luna will thrive in a quieter, more rural or semi-rural home with fewer neighborhood distractions. She needs a calm, confident adult who appreciates her devotion and understands how to provide strong leadership. A retired or single woman who enjoys peaceful walks in quiet areas (where other dogs won’t greet her like long-lost friends) would be ideal.

Luna LOVES:

? Car rides

???? Walks in serene places

? Snuggling and loyalty naps

? Being someone’s soulmate… preferably one with good boundaries

? A Little Humor, Because Life With Luna Is Full of Personality:

Luna believes in women’s rights, specifically the right to be protected at all times.

She does NOT believe in car-chasing—she just wants to alert them that they’re driving too fast. She’s basically the speed-limit police.

If you’re a strong leader, she’ll follow your commands like a queen’s knight. If you’re not… well, she’ll happily take your job.

? If You’re Looking for…

A loyal companion who will adore you

A strong, intelligent dog with a heart of gold

A guardian of your peace, your snacks, and your personal space

…then Luna might just be the dog who chooses you.

?
