Lulu's Story
Meet Lulu!

Lulu’s story began in the woods of rural Texas, where she was found abandoned and surviving alongside Geni, who we believe may be her daughter. No one knows how long they fended for themselves before rescuers were finally able to bring them to safety.

When Lulu first arrived, she was completely feral and terrified of the world. She wouldn’t even go outside. But with time, patience, and gentle care, she has made incredible progress. Today, she is much more social — still shy, but so very deserving of love.

Lulu is about 4–5 years old and weighs 70 pounds. She absolutely loves treats (the quickest way to her heart!) and enjoys curling up close once she feels safe. She greets staff with a wagging tail in the morning since she knows her friends have arrived.

Recently, we learned that Lulu has gone completely blind due to optic nerve atrophy. Despite this, she continues to navigate her world bravely. What she needs now is not perfection — just patience, stability, and someone willing to show her that she will never be abandoned again.

Lulu would do best in:

An adult-only home or one with older, respectful children

A secure, fenced yard (she is not confident with leash walking)

A calm, understanding environment with patient adopters

She has never truly had a home before. Everything is new to her. Unfortunately she was deserted by her rescue and left in boarding. Boarding has been very hard on her, and she is struggling without a consistent, loving place to land. We are committed to finding that for her.

Lulu is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and transport can be arranged.

This sweet girl survived the woods. She survived fear. She survived losing her sight. Now she just needs someone to help her learn what it feels like to belong.
