He came into foster at just three weeks old and has made fantastic progress the last two weeks learning to eat solid food, use puppy pads, and chew on stuffed toys. Luke has a lustrous dark-chocolate colored coat and a cute white chest marking, big gorgeous eyes that are still blue, and a sweet and playful personality! When he looks deeply into your eyes, your heart just melts! Luke is learning that new people are fun, is very interested in the resident dog, loves to be held and cuddled, and already knows how to ask politely for a nice belly rub. He loves to play with stuffies and rope toys, gets very excited when a toy squeaks, gets lots of practice wrestling with his sister, and knows the importance of a good nap. It is unusual for us to have such young puppies in Rescue, and Luke is going to make some lucky family know they hit the jackpot! <br/><br/>Luke is Fostered Near Gurnee, Illinois. The donation for Luke is $645 . That helps pay for Vetting including: Distemper/Parvo Vaccines, Flea & Tick preventative, deworming, grooming, high quality food and more. Your Veterinarian must confirm with K9LLR that your past/ present dogs' Heartworm Testing is up to date and Heartworm preventative has been purchased/scripted, along with a current Rabies vaccine. Call your Veterinarian before applying to give permission for them to release information to K9LLR, and check that all their records are complete and accurate.<br/><br/>Some of our puppies are mixed breeds, and in most cases we do not know who their parents are. We do our best to properly breed ID our pups; however, we cannot be 100% sure of any breed mix.<br/><br/>All puppies have had a wellness exam by a licensed Veterinarian. They are healthy to the best of our knowledge and come with a Certified Health Certificate (CVI). Most puppies will need continued Distemper/Parvo vaccines, a Rabies Vaccine, and deworming. This is the adopter's responsibility. All puppies are fed high quality dog food while in the care of K9LLR.
