Luigi's Story
If you’ve ever wanted a giant, fluffy teddy bear who occasionally forgets he’s 50 pounds and insists on being a lap dog, Luigi is your guy.

Luigi is around 7 years old, approximately 50 lbs. He is possibly a Malamute mix with that classic plush coat and soulful eyes that melt you on contact. He’s the kind of dog who looks like he should come with a hug warning.

This handsome fluff is house trained and has done great without a crate in his foster home. He loves being outside, enjoys toys, and still has a playful side that shines, especially if he has a doggy friend to romp around with. He’s currently living with multiple dogs and doing very well, and would love a playful canine companion, his own size, and a fenced yard to call his own. He does need reminded to keep all 4 paws on the floor when he gets excited.

Luigi walks pretty well on leash, but will need someone to continue training him on this. He gazes out the window and will sometimes initiate a howl among his dog friends in his foster home. He enjoys fresh air and exploring, and when the fun is over, he turns into the world’s largest “lap dog” and wants nothing more than to be close to his people. He loves belly rubs and gives lots of kisses.

Luigi is the perfect blend of fun, fluffy, and affectionate. He’s a loyal companion who’s ready to settle into his forever home and soak up all the love he’s been missing. He would do best with older kids due to his size.

Luigi will be neutered prior to adoption. He is current on vaccines and prevention, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. To meet Luigi, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
