Lucy May's Story

This is the Lovely Lucy May! She's got a great voice, is respectful to cats, and does really well with kids. She came from a home where she lived with an older cat, a small dog, and a 7-year-old kid she knew since they were an infant. And all of them were her buddies that she loved to be around. She can be a bit shy around strangers, and her trust can be won over with enough patience and treats on hand. Once she establishes who her family is, she is very loyal to them and will work hard to protect them. She is kennel trained, though she may need training to walk on a leash, since she has a habit of taking the lead and pulling ahead.

Lucy's favorite things include water, ice cubes, playing with water bottles, playing tug, and running. She's generally a gentle dog, and even plays gently too. The only thing she's not gentle with are toys with squeakers. As she likes to rip out the squeaker, until it ceases to be louder than her howls. She shows a similar eagerness with toys and blankets that have stuffing, so unless you want your house to be redecorated with a smattering of tiny clouds, skip on giving her anything that has filling. This is an experienced dog who will do well in a family with plenty of folks for her to look after and get plenty of love from. Come visit her today at SPCA Cincinnati!
