Lucy's Story
Lucy is a sweet, affectionate 1-year-old young dog with the smushiest face and a huge heart! She’s smart, eager to please, and loves her people deeply. Like many young dogs, Lucy is still learning how to navigate the world and needs an adopter who can provide consistent training, structure, and continued socialization.

Lucy would do best with an experienced adopter who understands large breeds and is comfortable helping a young dog learn appropriate boundaries around people and new situations. She can be a little jumpy at times, especially when excited, so a home without young children would be the best fit. Older children may be okay with appropriate supervision and guidance.

What Lucy Loves:
- She is a quick learner and really wants to please her people.
- She knows her basic commands and has been working hard on her “place” command.
- She is fully house-trained.
- She is crate trained and does well with her crate.
- She does not have separation anxiety.
- She walks nicely on leash when she feels comfortable.
- She has made wonderful progress with her confidence on walks, although passing cars can still make her nervous.
- She enjoys other dogs, but she may thrive best as the only dog in the home, where she can have her person's full attention.
- She is an absolute lover with her people and enjoys being close to those she trusts.

Lucy is still a puppy herself, and she has so much potential. She doesn't need a perfect person—she needs someone patient, confident, experienced, and committed to helping her become the wonderful adult dog she is capable of being.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will learn alongside you and reward you with endless affection (and that irresistible squishy face!), Lucy may be your girl.
