Meet Lucy<br/><br/>Lil Lucy is a ball of energy and full of love. This little darling is a joy to be around. She is one of the happiest young dogs we have. We rescued Lucy from a high kill shelter when her time was up due to space limitations. She is just precious. <br/><br/>Lucy loves everyone she meets and other dogs. She doesnt like cats so much though. She can be a bit chatty. She doesnt want to be ignored or miss out on fun and affection. She is incredibly smart. She is a pleaser and listens to direction and takes guidance very well. She learns quickly. Lucy is petite at just 30 lbs. She looks to have some terrier in her maybe Boston terrier, mixed with Australian Cattle dog or beagle perhaps? Shes a little beauty with her glossy brownish/black coat, warm brown eyes, athletic build and happy demeanor. Lucy engages with people and warms up quickly. Fun is fun! She walks well on a leash but can be a little pully. She is energetic and wiggly. A fenced yard will be a must to keep her safe. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, gentle and snuggly, when she is ready to settle in. We just love everything about her. Lucy will be a terrific companion for an active family. She will not be happy in a sedentary family. She likes to play and explore, especially at this young stage of her life. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
