Lucy's Story
Adoptable Mix Lucy is a 6-year-old, 33-pound mix with the sweetest, most easy-going personality. She’s a calm, laid-back girl who would love nothing more than a cozy home, short daily walks, and plenty of beds to curl up in (she doesn’t mind sharing with other dogs either!). Lucy is hard of hearing but not deaf by any means!

Gets along well with other dogs – she’s tolerant and accepting, though not overly playful. She prefers respectful dog friends.

Cat-friendly – her foster has 9 cats! After some initial curiosity, she now mostly ignores them.

Kid-friendly – she’s had positive interactions, but would do best in a home with kids 12+.

House trained & crate trained (though she prefers dog beds over crates!).

Walks slowly and politely on a leash, follows well off-leash, and enjoys calm strolls.

Loves car rides – happiest when she’s right by your side.

Friendly with new people and dogs, a favorite at the vet for her cooperative and sweet nature.

No food or toy aggression, though she gets very excited about mealtime!

Doesn’t bark excessively, isn’t bothered by thunder or loud noises, and shows no signs of separation anxiety.

In our care, Lucy has received a vet check, vaccines, a dental exam and dental procedure. She was spayed and is on monthly heartworm preventatives and has been neutered. She also received a mastectomy to remove mammary tumors because they had growths and is a healthy dog now!

We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!
