Lucy's Story

Her personality is really starting to shine ✨ She’s getting her playful spark back, and the best part? That unbelievably ADORABLE smile that melts all of us into puddles every single time.
When she’s not outside enjoying a cozy nap, you’ll find her happily playing with her favorite toy, her beloved Lamby. She loves chasing birds (and “sky raisins” 😂), and she’s even learned how to help herself from the toy box—proudly carrying her treasures off to her room like the smart, independent girl she is.
She’s blossoming more every day, and it’s such a joy to watch 💕

Desert Dog Project's Adoption Policy
Our adoption policies are designed to ensure each dog is placed in a safe, stable, and appropriate home. Potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application, followed by a phone screening to discuss lifestyle, expectations, and the dog’s needs. Once approved, adopters with existing pets participate in a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility. A home visit is then conducted to confirm the environment is safe and suitable and that the placement will be a good long-term fit for both the dog and the adopter.
