Lucy's Story

Lucy was dropped off at the vet to be euthanized, but the vet decided she was too sweet and beautiful for that.
Lucy acts like she is afraid of everyone when she first meets them and as soon as they sit down and let her come to them, she will soon have all 65 pounds in their lap. After she gets to know you (about 1 day), she can be rude with her behavior. She still has many puppy -like behaviors. She is very athletic and loves to do silly runs and then bound into your lap. She loves to cuddle and be hugged
She learned the pet door in one day and has not had an accident in the house. She loves to play with the other foster dog in residence but might get too rough with smaller or dogs less inclined to play. She does not take no for an answer from them and insist on playing.
She has learned sit and down with treats and is working on learning the hand signals for those two commands.
Lucy is going to need someone who is patient with her at the very first till she learns to trust which won't take long. She also needs to get out and be socialized with people so she can learn not to have a "scary" reaction to meeting people.
Lucy loves toys but will quickly destroy soft plush ones. She will require tuff toys that last longer. She is picky about treats at first as it appears she has not been given many different kinds of treats.
