Meet Lucy <br/><br/>Lucy’s story didn’t have the beginning any puppy deserves. At only 3 months old, Lucy and her sister, Desi, were left in a box on someone’s doorstep. Thankfully, they landed in the hands of someone who cared, and now this precious little girl has the chance to find the loving home she should have had from the very beginning.<br/><br/>Lucy is currently about 10 pounds and is a beautiful black-and-white mixed-breed puppy. We don’t know what her parents looked like, so her breed and adult size are only guesses, but we expect her to grow into a medium-sized dog.<br/><br/>Like any young puppy, Lucy is discovering the world one day at a time. She needs a family who understands that puppies require patience, consistency, training, socialization, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get the wonderful experience of watching this little girl grow up knowing that she is safe, wanted, and part of a family.<br/><br/>Lucy has started her puppy vaccinations, and the rescue is working to make sure her age-appropriate veterinary needs are taken care of, including plans for her spay.<br/><br/>She may have arrived on a doorstep in a cardboard box, but Lucy was never meant to be discarded. She was meant to be somebody’s best friend, somebody’s shadow, and someday, somebody’s very favorite hello at the end of the day.<br/><br/>Lucy is ready for the next chapter of her story—and this time, she’d like it to begin at the doorstep of her forever home.
