Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy!

Sweet Lucy is a lovely 2 year old Chihuahua mix.

Her favorite things to do are snuggle, bask in the sun, roll in the grass and zoom around the yard. She walks well on a leash and would love a daily walk. She bonds fiercely with her person and is protective of my human. She'll bark when she first meets you, but calm down quickly and usually end up showering you with kisses.

Lucy had never seen a cat before my foster home. She barked at the resident cats and hid behind foster mom for the first week she was here. They get along well now, even if they don’t want to play with her. While she could learn to live with another cat, we think she would love a doggy sibling to play with. A sibling might make her feel better about being left home alone. She gets sad and whine when mom leaves so an apartment probably won’t work for me.

Lucy is a bit of a shy girl but once she loves you she will be the best companion! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
