Lucy's Story

At 5 years old, Lucy is the kind of dog who reminds you that love isn't always loud. Sometimes, it's quiet, patient, and earned and once you have it, it's forever.

This beautiful girl lost the only home she'd ever known when her family had to move and couldn't take her along. Through no fault of her own, Lucy found herself trading a warm home for a shelter kennel, wondering where her family went.

Lucy lived peacefully with other dogs and cats and has all the makings of an incredible family companion. She's potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and absolutely lights up when you hand her a toy especially if it squeaks! Watching her play is a sweet reminder that she still has so much joy to share.

When you first meet Lucy, she may seem a little shy or unsure. New people can make her nervous, and she'll take a little time to decide if you're someone she can trust. But once you show her kindness and patience, her walls begin to melt away. Behind those cautious eyes is a loyal, loving girl who will stand by your side and protect the people she loves with her whole heart.

Lucy isn't looking for perfection. She's simply hoping for someone willing to give her a chance a family who understands that the best relationships are built on trust.

If you're looking for a faithful companion who will love deeply, enjoy life's simple adventures, and be your constant friend, Lucy is waiting. She's already proven she knows how to be part of a family.

Now she just needs a family to choose her again.
