Lucy's Story
Lucy (Lu Lu) is a 6 year old, 23lb female Boston Terrier looking for her forever home. Lucy is the ultimate love bug! She wants nothing more than to be near her people. She will snuggle up to you while you watch your favorite movie or sporting event and sneak in the occasional kiss when she can. This love bug would be fine with calm kids 6+, but does need a home where she's the only pet and has a physically fenced yard.
Lucy understands that her person/people will need to work to pay for the roof that’s over her head and the food that she enjoys eating oh so much. She is crate trained and can spend the work day in the crate while her humans are away (up to 8 hours). At night, she currently sleeps in her crate, but she’d love a family that would allow her to snuggle up in bed with them.
Lucy is housebroken and rarely has an accident. She doesn’t know how to let you know when she needs to go outside, but if you let her out every few hours, she will manage just fine. She can be trusted to be left alone - she won’t chew up your belongings or hide your shoes. Lucy doesn’t show much interest in playing with toys, but she is a smart lady that loves solving food/treat enrichment puzzles. Lucy is also a good traveler and enjoys rides in the car.
So why does such a sweet, smart girl need to be an only pet with a physically fenced yard? Well, she's sweet with humans, but not other animals. She shows aggression towards other dogs and has a very high prey drive (chases cats, bunnies, squirrels, and birds). She also pulls on leash and has also broken through electronic fences - which we wouldn't recommend for reactive dogs anyway. A home in a rural area would be best for her!
Lucy is looking for a loving home who has the right environment for her and will give her lots of cuddles! She's spayed and vaccinated, and her adoption fee will be $350.
