Lucy's Story

Lucy is a 12 year old well behaved and well mannered female, who has a lot of love to give. She knows standard commands and walks easily on a leash with a standard martingale collar. She loves everyone she meets, and especially enjoys the attention she gets at pet stores and on her walks. She doesn't get on the furniture and she sleeps in her bed beside you at night. She gets along with large and small dogs. She is fine when left alone, once she's been given a time to acclimate to her new surroundings. She's happier when she's not crated, but has tolerated a crate as well. She's definitely a typical Weim who likes to follow her person around the house.

As a social senior dog, she enjoys people that are home a good bit, maybe with kids that are a little older and dogs that are low to medium energy, or as an only dog. Healthwise, she's in good shape for a senior, and is just starting to show signs of arthritis. In the coming years, she would be better in a home without lots of stairs, as with any older large dog.
