A truck pulled up at the shelter with one very small crate in the back.<br/>We opened the door and - BOOM - we were seeing spots! Everywhere!<br/>Lucy and Bolt burst out like someone had fired a Dalmatian confetti cannon.<br/>Lucy's a 5-year-old female Dalmatian, and Bolt's a 2-year-old male. They arrived together, they are fabulous friends, and if you've ever thought, "You know what my life needs? TWO Dalmatians!" this is a remarkably efficient way to make that happen.<br/>They do NOT have to be adopted together and can absolutely go to separate homes.<br/>But you may want to consider two.<br/>Because these dogs are FUN... and they do a great job burning off each other's energy.<br/>They zip. They zoom. They bounce. They twirl. They ricochet around the yard. And just when you think they're finally tuckered out, you realize they were just warming up. Dalmatians are known for their playful energy, and Lucy and Bolt represent!<br/>They do have an off switch. Lucy and Bolt both love affection, snuggles, and being close to their people. You just have to get through the "LET'S DO SOMETHING!" portion of the day first.<br/>A fenced backyard would be ideal, because these two were made to run, play, and generally make a spectacle of themselves while you sit back and enjoy the show.<br/>Lucy and Bolt were owner-surrendered for the usual life-circumstance reasons. They were family dogs, lived with young children, and came to us with great house manners.<br/>So if you're looking for a smart, affectionate, active dog with enough personality to keep life interesting, come meet Lucy or Bolt.<br/>And if you're feeling ambitious, meet both.<br/>One Dalmatian is a burst of joy.<br/>Two is a small parade.Come celebrate at Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA.
