Lucky's Story
This is one lucky dog! One evening in the summer of 2010 a car pulled over to the side of a rural road; dumped this boy; and drove off. A Good Samaritan witnessed this horrid act and turned back around and rescued the boy – and that’s how Lucky got his name. Our hero could not keep Lucky (their family already had 3 dogs), so they contacted Basset Rescue and now you get a chance to be a hero.<br/><br/>Lucky is approximately 3 years old and he’s almost perfect: he doesn’t bark; he loves children; he gets along with other dogs; he’s almost house broken (just one little accident); but he’s not too fond of cats (I did say almost perfect). He walks well on a leash; rides beautifully in a car; is very friendly to strangers; and thinks he’s a lap dog. He loves to cuddle; is very affectionate; and will follow you everywhere. <br/><br/>It will be hard to find a more wonderful, perfect and loving hound. He’s been neutered and received all his shots. Lucky’s adoption fee is $200 – a small price to pay for unconditional love.
