Lucky's Story

Meet Lucky, she is a 7 week old Australian Cattle dog/ Jack Russell mix. She was found at a dump site with a ton of stray dogs. The lady that feeds them knew that she wouldn't last due to her size and because there are a lot of coyotes in the area. Lucky grabbed on to her leg and refused to let go. Her temporary foster took her home, gave her a bath, fed her and gave her dewormer. She is a sweet girl that is thriving being in a home setting. She has played well with other dogs, been exposed to cats and kids over the age of 8. Lucky is still in South Texas due to a shortage in foster homes but we plan to transport her one there is an open foster or an adopter. She will be receiving her vaccines and microchip next week.We think she will be a medium size dog. She will need a family willing work on socialization as well as potty training. She would do best with someone that works from home or is only gone for a few hours a day (hybrid schedule). A secure fenced in yard is also a requirement due to her small size. If there are children in the home they must be over 5 years old for her safety. The adoption fee will include her 3 rounds of vaccines, microchip, and spay at 6 months with one of our approved vet partners.

Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that are a good fit for the dog.
