Lucky's Story

"I'm a sweet, energetic dog, born around December 2021. My first year was tough, but thankfully, my puppies were rescued. I'm a little shy at first, likely because of my early experiences, but I warm up quickly. I love people and enjoy being petted, just please approach me gently. I'm not aggressive at all, just a bit cautious. I have lots of love and loyalty to offer! I do well with calm, respectful kids, but I'd thrive in a home with adults or older, gentle children, where I can feel secure. A yard is a must for my energy, but I need to be included – I don't want to be left alone outside. I'm not an escape artist; I just crave companionship. I'm a big cuddler and love being by my person's side, even in public. After 2.5 years at the shelter, everyone agrees it's my turn to find my forever home. Could you be the loving family I've been waiting for?"

Pet Tender Angels Rescue and Rehabilition's Adoption Policy

We require an application or phone interview(if you can not get on a computer) before making an appointment to come visit the shelter. The application does not obligate you to anything but gives us a little better information as to what would be a good match for you and provides us with contact information in the event of a change to appointment. Once you have met the dog and want to pursue...we will do a wellness visit with the dog at our vet and schedule a homevisit where we will bring the dog to your home to meet any other pets in the home and to see how the dog does in your environment to give you better insite into what you will be working with. If the homevisit goes well, the adoption is finalized.
