WE ARE NOT accepting new applications to adopt currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are working through our list of pending adoption applications. We hope to resume accepting applications at some point in 2021, but caution that so few dogs are coming in to our retirement program that you could have a long wait of several weeks to months.
We have many greyhounds retiring from closing racetracks in FL hoping to make it into one of our foster homes. Unfortunately, the adoption kennels at these tracks are no longer testing for small animal compatibility. This is adding to our delays in adoptions.
We do still have dogs in foster homes that will likely be adopted by our applicants who’ve already been waiting for months. So rest assured, we are still hard at work for these retiring racers!!!
