Lucky's Story

??Lucky is a sweet "old soul" who was surrendered by his owners because they were moving & felt they couldn't care for him any longer. Upon intake, he was obese, confused, & frightened. With some time in a loving foster home, he's now unafraid & at a healthy weight. He's a lab/shepherd mix & he's tall. Lucky is SO sweet & smart! He LOVES to play fetch. He gently drops a toy or ball at your feet when he wants you to toss it up so he can catch it in the air. Then he prances back with it in his mouth. He has good manners. He doesn't jump up on anyone & he listens well. He's housetrained, crate trained & he walks great on a leash. He enjoys the outdoors. His previous family never socialized him with dogs. So he would likely need to be an only dog. He enjoys having feline friends & absolutely ADORES human affection. Lucky is approximately 9 yrs old, neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative & microchipped. He would love to find a forever home to spend his retirement years. Anyone would be lucky to have him as he's such a loving, loyal companion.???? If it is a good match and everyone is a good fit, we have a contract stating that the adopter will take care of the animal and keep it indoors, and that if they were to need to rehome it, they would let us know
