I am 2 years 10 months old and weigh 30 pounds. I am very sweet, my name does not reflect my character. I need a new home because my owner could no longer care for me. I am being fostered in Kansas City, KS<br/> <br/>I am a good lovable boy that loves to play. I am overweight and need to lose 8 to 10 pounds to be the picture of health. I walk well on a leash and need the exercise. I am not really food motivated…for dog food anyway! My foster mom thinks I was more of a human food connoisseur in my earlier life. I’m not very good at eating out of a bowl but I’m trying to learn. I do enjoy a small treat now and then. <br/><br/>I have plenty of energy and enjoy a romp around the backyard, and lying in the sun. I get along well with my pug brother in my foster home and it would be great to have a playmate in my new home. I love affection and will give it back to you. I will follow you wherever you go. I’m looking for a loving happy home with a dog pal maybe, and people who love me.<br/> <br/>I sleep in bed with my foster mom and boston terrier sister. Sometimes I even crawl under the blanket. I am a happy quiet gentleman and would appreciate a comfortable dog bed or couch if you need to go out. I do not tolerate being kenneled. <br/><br/>I can go up and down steps without a problem. I came into foster with some itchy skin and an infected tail which I had surgery on. I am missing some hair on my back from surgery but it will grow back. All of my medical needs are being taken care of and I am a happy boy. <br/><br/>I am looking for a home where someone will be with me most of the time. Where i can go on walks and spend my days with my family. I am a dog who loves to be with my people. My foster Mom thinks I am a great dog and my new family will be very lucky to have me. <br/> <br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Yes. <br/>Leash-trained? Yes<br/>Rides well in the car? Yes, a little nervous but will improve with time.<br/>Good with other dogs? Yes<br/>Good with cats? Not yet tested<br/>Good with young children? Probably older children. <br/>Good with strangers? Yes<br/>Shy or confident? Confident and happy<br/>Barks? Not often and is pretty quiet. I will bark when alerted by another dog.<br/>Apartment qualified? No<br/>Any Special needs or Health Issues? I have some itchy skin which is improving. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
