Meet Luchito - the long-and-low adventure buddy with the biggest smile and an even bigger personality.<br/><br/>Straight from the streets of Mexico to the beautiful trails of Oregon, Luchito is more than ready for his next chapter - and we'd absolutely love to finally help this special boy find the forever home he deserves.<br/><br/>Luchito has become one of our longer-stay dogs, which honestly surprises everyone who meets him. He's fun, goofy, affectionate, athletic, and full of life. With his striking blue eye, low-rider build, happy grin, and outgoing personality, he tends to make friends everywhere he goes.<br/><br/>This boy LOVES adventure. Whether it's hiking trails, neighborhood walks, pack outings, car rides, exploring the outdoors, or wrestling around with his dog buddies, Luchito is happiest when he's included in the fun. He's playful without being over-the-top, social, and always ready to tag along for whatever the day brings.<br/><br/>One of our volunteers recently shared:<br/><br/>"We have been picking Luchito up for walks and play dates with our dogs and they absolutely love him. He's become a part-time member of their pack and good times are always had when they get together. He walks and plays great with them and is very gentle with our blind dog. Luchito loves to hike the trails and is very good on leash, rarely pulling. Car rides are fun for him - he just chills quietly in his crate. For anyone looking for a trail companion with an infectious personality and a permanent smile, Luchito is your guy."<br/><br/>Luchito really shines around other well-matched dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a playful canine companion who enjoys adventure and social time as much as he does. He's done wonderfully making dog friends and continuing to build confidence in foster care. Cats, however, are not his thing, so he's looking for a cat-free home.<br/><br/>Beyond all the fun and energy, Luchito also has a super sweet and affectionate side.
