Lucas Kahn

Lucas is a neutered male Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix, born 1/2006. Lucas was originally adopted from a rescue group in Indiana, but he turned out to be too active for his adoptive family and was surrendered to our shelter. Lucas is a wonderful dog who is initially shy around new people. He loves to play, rolling in the snow and wrestling with kids or other dogs. We've not seen any aggression whatsoever in the time Lucas has been here at our shelter. The big guy is very in tune with other dogs and would love a home with at least one other dog to romp and play with. He gets intimidated if the other dog is too overbearing, and tends to prefer smaller dogs and puppies to dogs his own size. Lucas has the distinctive "mohawk" common with the Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and goofy looking ears that give him a comical appearance. He does know some simple commands, and will talk (usually grumble), especially when he's not happy about doing something. This big galoot would make a wonderful pet for nearly any family willing to give him the love and attention he deserves.
