Anyone for a game of catch? My name is Luca, and I'm an owner surrender to the shelter. My family was very busy growing, and more kids meant not enough time for me. I was adopted as a puppy, so I've only known my one family. I spent too much time in the kennel, and they knew it wasn't the quality of life they wanted for me. So I'm here now in search of my next adventure partner. <br/><br/>My previous family described me as "friendly (and dog-friendly too) sweet, loving and cuddly". I do great with other dogs, and I attended doggy day care and thrived in that environment because I got to play with a lot of friends. I am a very energetic fellow with a deep appreciation for long walks, open spaces, and the chance to explore the world around me. I love to run and feel the wind in my ears. Nothing delights me quite like chasing a tennis ball or discovering new sights and smells. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, I would be thrilled to join you every step of the way. My favorite meal was salmon and sweet potato, and I enjoy toys that are indestructible and made for the strong chewer that I am! <br/><br/>When we first meet, I may be a bit timid. I like to take a moment to understand new people and new situations. But once I realize you are someone I can trust, my whole personality opens up. I become affectionate, warm, and eager to be close. Beneath my initial shyness is a true cuddle bug who loves companionship and connection. The volunteers here are rather taken with me. Probably my shy smile, my soulful eyes, and my affectionate nature.<br/><br/>I am also a smart boy who enjoys learning. I already know the "sit" command and love to fetch balls and return to you. Obedience training is not only a wonderful way for us to bond, but it is something I genuinely thrive on. Give me a challenge, a new skill to practice, or a bit of structure, and I will rise to the occasion with enthusiasm. I want to make my person proud, and I am ready to put in the work.<br/><br/>I'd love a home that would give me daily walks (or runs), and a yard to run and play in.
