Lowenbrau's Story

Meet the Oktoberfest Litter! These 8 ADORABLE pups were born to mama Gretchen (32 lb German Wirehaired Pointer mix - found as a stray in east TN when she was heavily pregnant) on 10/29/2025. We are unsure what Dad is, but we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs.

These cuties will be ready to go to their furever homes once they turn 8 weeks old on 12/24/2025 (just in time for Christmas!). We are accepting applications on them now! Mama Gretchen will be available soon as well (she still needs to be spayed once she stops nursing and her milk has dried up).

Lowenbrau (brown collar) is a male puppy who is cute as a button! He is black and white with the cutest little freckles on his paws!

He is a typical happy, friendly puppy who is good with everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs.

Lowenbrau is medically up to date (age appropriate) and is so excited to embark on his next adventure - finding his furever family! Apply to meet this sweetie today!

Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!

Once you have had your home visit, you will receive an email notifying you of our decision. 3) If approved a meet and greet will be arranged with you, and the dog and the foster parent. So you and your family/fur members can meet the dog and make sure everyone gets along. 4) We send adopters the adoption contract prior to the meet and greet so you have a chance to read over the adoption contract. Adopters must sign the contract before taking the dog home with them. You have 48 hours after meeting the dog to decide to adopt or not to adopt. - We try not to hold up dogs for too long and do not want to miss out on a good home for them. 5) If you choose to adopt, you will need to sign before picking the dog up, or bringing the dog home. We ask for a "I am furever home" picture to post to our website after each dog has been adopted! ** We are NOT adopting to MA or ME residents at this time! Thank you!

We want to make a difference by saving the dogs who actually need to be saved. Most of these dogs won't get out unless WE rescue th...
