Low-Key's Story

Name:Lowkey
Gender: male
Age: 3 years
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Weight: 12lbs
Disability: deaf
Dogs: best as only dog
Cats: ok with cats
Kids: prefers home without children

Bio: Meet Lowkey! Lowkey (previously Loki) is anything but low-key but we are hoping to find him the perfect home where he can finally relax and settle in for good! Lowkey was surrendered by his owner who has had him from the time he was 6 weeks old. Unfortunately when she took him in she also took in his brother and didn't know the dangers of littermate syndrome. While not all sibling pairs develop littermate syndrome the effects of it can be so devastating that we never suggest adopting a sibling pair just to be safe. Lowkey started becoming super aggressive towards his brother to the point where they could no longer live together. Lowkey would prefer to be the only dog in the home he can ignore calm dogs, especially females but he honestly gets stressed out around other dogs and would prefer to be alone. He can be protective of his person so he would love a home where he can be the spoiled only dog. He is okay with cats but doesn't like when cats bother him too much. He needs a patient home that will let him warm up to them and once you do that you will have a devoted dog for life! Once Lowkey warms up he is goofy, cuddly, sweet, and loving. He just needs time and all the attention! If you think your home is a good fit for Lowkey please email us at pinkheartrescue@gmail.com!
